Dialogue, we all use it.
The next meeting of Group 2012 will be held on Wednesday 20 June at Blackwell’s Bookshop, Broad Street at 7pm.
We are very lucky to have a talk by screenwriter Dr Pauline Kiernan who is is an award-winning playwright, commissioned screenwriter and distinguished Shakespeare scholar. She has been a literary and screenplay consultant for six years, is a visiting tutor in creative writing at Oxford University, and is the author of several books on screenwriting:
Screenwriting They Can’t Resist: How To Create Screenplays of Originality and Cinematic Power, Screenwriting Emotional Pull for Character, Power Up Your Screenwriting: Dialogue Workouts, Power Up Your Screenwriting: Structure Wourkoutsts. You can see more about Pauline here: http://www.pauline-kiernan.com
After the talk we will help with any aspect of dialogue, be it for a screenplay, a novel or a work of non fiction. Do come armed with questions if you are particularly interested in screenwriting or improving your dialogue in general, or send them to us beforehand. You might even like to read out a passage of dialogue from your work for some friendly feedback.
Non-members are always welcome, but for non-members there will be a small entry fee: details in the About Group 2012 page.
We look forward to seeing many of you there.
